Maerrie Januarrie

It began with the Christmas spirits. We went all the way to Penang for a three-days family vacation and decided to have a nice stay in Lone Pine. We fell in love with the resort when it was first broadcast because really, how can you not adore its country-style theme? Lone Pine was definitely in our wishlist since last year, not to mention the high class service. Unfortunately, those were quite a number of years ago. Everything was alright, but just not as much as we expected it to be. I thought it was going to be a quiet and relaxing stay, not a bunch of people occupying every single area of the resort. *dramatic voice* My dreams were shattereddd. I was like "They better fulfill my royal breakfast request because I NEED SOMETHING IN RETURN". Overall, it was okay. They got me my royal breakfast. Just kidding but yeah, I had good stuff- the service, food, swimming pool- they were all within our expectations :) We're not coming back by the way, unless people get out of the way and let me have my zen vibes back...which is not going to happen so, au revoir. One more thing I liked was the charity party for the unfortunate during night time. The gentle Christmas music and soft lighting created a festive ambience in the resort.

After I got back, I'd decided to bake again. Yes, going nuts with that hobby of mine. During this time, it was cookies and cake pops. I wanted to get my hands on the baking tools so badly and let the smell of chocolates pervade the airrr. The thing is, I don't even know whether I should try another round of cake pops because they took me so loooong...although I really loved the output. If only I could resist the temptation. Cookies on the other hand, were fun to bake. Anyway, I'm looking forward to another session *grins*

Ending this post with major satisfaction. Introducing you to my new college, the Taylor's. I remember when I was first heading there on the Orientation Day, I felt like dying in the car due to the nervousness which had been building up since the day before. Panic attack number one: I was going in there ALONE, with documents in my own hands to deal with at the office. Panic attack number two: I thought I entered the wrong hall because some students around me were discussing about SAM instead of A Levels. Panic attack number three: My seat's side table was stuck and I couldn't get up and greet the principal. Dumbstruck. Turned out that I was actually stupid and didn't know how the seats are functioned. Laugh, yeah go ahead because excuse me, I need a good laugh at myself too.

The first day was awesome to begin with. We were all assigned to groups of twelve and began the Ice Breaking sessions. The games were played awkwardly at first but we eventually got to know each other quite well and started making new friends. It wasn't that difficult after all :) The orientation week passed by quickly and this was the last day before everyone in Group 2 separated and went to different classes. Aw, why you gotta be so cruel. Anyway, we will be grouped together on other Integration Days so, yaaaay.

So far, I've had a hell lot of fun- with great friends and lecturers, a comfortable environment minus those presentations and assignments. I'm really looking forward to the club meetings as they're starting next week. I can't wait for some new experiences! The good thing about Taylor's is they organize everything so well and you could see why every penny spent there was worth it.

Oh yeah, I spent the last day of January meeting these junk buds. Still can't believe high school was over and done with. We went for lunch and Wedding Ringers. The show was so amusing oh my god the amount of swear words made it even more hilarious. KEVIN HART FOR THE WORLD. Came out of the cinema and still laughing our heads off. After that, we grabbed for some desserts and headed home. Gah, soooo much fun. I wish we could do this everyday.

My life is blessed with great things and people by my side. What more could I ask for?
